Privacy Policy

This policy explains how Willow Glen Equity LLC, a California limited liability company doing business as ColorKind ("ColorKind," "we," "us" or "our"), processes information through the ColorKind iPhone app, website and generation service. ColorKind is designed for parents and caregivers. It is not intended for children to use independently.

Information we process

• Ideas and settings: the description you enter, selected detail level, paper size and orientation.
• Optional voice input: when you tap the microphone, Apple speech recognition processes the audio to turn it into text. ColorKind does not retain the audio recording; the resulting text is handled as an idea you enter.
• Photos you choose: a compressed copy of a photo only when a parent deliberately selects or takes one and confirms the upload.
• Generated pages: the coloring page returned for display, printing, saving or sharing.
• Generation telemetry: the idea text you enter, an internal pseudonymous user identifier, selected detail level, source type, paper size, orientation, retry reason, credit cost, model, request outcome and processing time.
• Product analytics: app installs and opens, paywall views, purchase and restoration attempts, saves and print starts, together with app version, build number, operating-system version, device family and locale. We do not collect a precise device model or location for analytics.
• Account and purchase information: a hashed, opaque installation identifier, complimentary-page balance, subscription entitlement and expiration, Apple product and transaction identifiers, verified price, currency, storefront, purchase environment and revocation status, and short-lived retry authorization used to fulfill purchases, measure revenue, prevent fraud and keep the service reliable.
• Referral information: a random invitation code, anonymous referral relationship, redemption date, complimentary access awarded, Guest Pass status and abuse-prevention outcomes. We do not identify either participant to the other.
• Optional notifications: an opaque Apple Push Notification service token when you choose to enable referral notifications. Notification messages do not include a name, prompt, internal account identifier or device identifier.
• Beta and launch information: your first name, last name and email address if you previously requested beta access or launch updates on colorkind.app.
• Support information: the email address and message content you send when contacting us.

How we use information

We use this information to generate requested coloring pages, adapt output to the chosen age and detail level, provide quality retries, securely retain pages created from text, reuse an existing page when a text-only request and its generation settings match, operate referrals and Guest Passes, deliver optional anonymous reward notifications, prevent referral abuse, measure reliability and feature usage, understand what families ask the product to create, improve output quality, operate and secure the service, administer past beta access, answer support requests and send requested launch updates. We do not use app content for behavioral profiling or targeted advertising.

Examples, collections and marketing

After review, we may use de-identified themes inspired by text prompts and pages generated from text to create examples, themed collections, coloring books and materials that explain or promote ColorKind. We do not associate this material with an internal identifier, publish a prompt verbatim when it appears to contain personal information, or use source photos or pages derived from photos for these purposes. This practice applies to content submitted after this disclosure took effect unless we separately obtain permission to use earlier content.

AI and service providers

Generation requests are securely sent to service providers that help create your coloring page. These providers process the request only to deliver the service and are configured with no-training and zero-data-retention requirements where supported. Hosting, private file-storage, security, team-collaboration and email providers may process the minimum information needed to perform their services. If you previously requested beta access, we sent your name and email address to Apple so Apple could create and manage your beta invitation. Restricted internal quality notifications may include text-only prompt content and the page created from that prompt. For a photo request, a notification may say that a photo was used, but it never includes the source photo or the page derived from it. We require providers handling user information to protect it consistently with this policy.

Photos, prompts and retention

ColorKind keeps the idea text you enter, a private high-resolution copy of pages generated from text and the associated generation and product telemetry described above. Telemetry and referral records are linked to an internal pseudonymous user identifier so we can understand repeated use and enforce one referral redemption per signup without asking for a name or email address. We do not keep source photos, pages derived from photos, raw device identifiers, IP addresses or advertising identifiers with this telemetry.

A temporary local copy of a selected source photo may remain in app memory for a quality retry. Starting another page, deleting the result or closing the app clears that temporary source copy. A page generated from text may be served again only when another text request, detail level, paper size and orientation match. Stored text-generated masters and telemetry are retained for as long as reasonably needed to operate, secure, analyze and improve ColorKind, or until a verified deletion request where applicable. Subscription and purchase records may be retained longer to honor access, prevent fraud, process refunds and meet accounting or legal obligations.

Past beta-request information is retained as reasonably needed to manage access, prevent invitation abuse and maintain an accurate tester record. Abuse controls retain one-way hashes instead of raw IP addresses. You may request deletion of your beta-request information, although Apple may retain its own beta-testing records under Apple’s policies.

Children’s privacy

ColorKind does not create child profiles, show advertising or intentionally collect personal information directly from children. Photo upload and external links are placed behind parent-facing controls. A parent or guardian should choose what to enter or upload and should avoid submitting sensitive information.

Your choices

You can use text-only generation and decline photo access. Referral sharing and rewards work without notifications. You can decline notification permission or change it later in iOS Settings. You can revoke Photos or Camera access in iOS Settings, delete an in-app result, remove saved exports from their destination and request deletion of stored generated pages, generation telemetry, beta request information, waitlist information or support information. Referral and purchase records may be retained where reasonably needed to prevent duplicate rewards, honor access and prevent fraud. Instructions are available on the Privacy Choices page.

Sales, advertising and tracking

ColorKind does not sell personal information. The app contains no third-party advertising, cross-app tracking or behavioral advertising SDKs.

Security and international processing

We use technical and organizational safeguards intended to protect information, including encrypted network connections and keeping AI credentials off the device. No online service can guarantee absolute security. Providers may process information in countries other than your own, subject to their contractual safeguards and applicable law.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the product, providers or law changes. The effective date at the top will identify the current version. Material changes will be communicated in the app or on this website when appropriate.
